Yes, we know – summer is almost over and winter is closing in on us. But that’s no reason for you to start slacking on your workout routine and begin preparing for winter hibernation.
It’s quite the contrary. This is the time when you should push you body to its absolute limit while gaining as much strength as possible in the process. These three exercises will help you achieve that.
Next up is the trap bar deadlift. First you need a trap bar, next you need some weights. Now it’s time to lift. Start with 3 sets of 8 and change the weight accordingly.
Last but not least, we have the sled push. Load your sled with some weight, then push it across the room while grabbing the high handles. Once you’ve pushed it all the way, run around it and bring it back using the low handles. Use a suicide interval and you’ll really feel the burn.
The trick to success here is to withstand the first few days of the routine. Once you’ve past that milestone, you will rapidly build up strength and stamina.
Keep in mind that after a certain number of repeats you might find yourself having more muscle than you initially wanted, so it’s a good thing to know when to stop.
